Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common neoplasia of the salivary glands. Although ulceration and pain sometimes hamper speech and swallowing in cases of benign salivary gland tumors,8,9 our study of 60 cases of submandibular gland PAs showed that these PAs have few clinical signs or symptoms besides painless swelling.
